Trade Winds Aviation provides flight training and ground instruction services ranging from the Private Pilot Certificate through CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) and ATP (Airline Transport Pilot). Many of our prior students are currently working in the aviation industry as commercial/airline pilots. We also provide a variety of flight training services including Flight Reviews, IPC’s, and mountain flying courses.

We want to help you learn to fly and reach your aviation goals as safely and affordably as possible. While we already offer some of the lowest rates around, active duty military personnel and Metro State students are also eligible for discounted rates. Please contact us or stop in and check out our facilities and aircraft, as well as, meet our friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Private Pilot

This certificate requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training, and allows you to fly most single engine aircraft day or night under fair weather conditions. Once certified, you may add an instrument rating that will allow you to fly in the clouds.

Instrument Rating

This rating lets you fly in instrument meteorological conditions (clouds and low visibility). It not only allows you to become a much safer pilot by learning these skills, but it also allows you to make a flight where you might otherwise have to cancel due to marginal weather.

Commercial Single/Multi

This is the first step in a pilot’s career that allows a person to work as a pilot. We offer single or multi-engine flight training on the commercial level that will enable a pilot to meet minimum standards to work for compensation in a variety of areas ranging from commercial operators, banner towing and flight instruction.

Certified Flight Instructor

At Alliance Flight Training you can receive training for all three instructor certificates from the initial CFI to Instrument Instructor, to the multi-engine instructors certificate as well. Once completed individuals may have the opportunity to instruct with our school.

Certified Flight Instrument Instructor

At Alliance you can receive training to become a Certified Flight Instrument Instructor, affording you the qualifications to instruct pilots in preparation of achieving their instrument ratings. Once completed individuals may have the opportunity to instruct with our school.

MEI

At Alliance you can receive training to become a Multi-Engine Instructor, affording you the qualifications to instruct pilots in preparation of achieving their multi-engine ratings. Once completed individuals may have the opportunity to instruct with our school.

Airline Transport Pilot

The highest level of aircraft pilots license. Those certified as Airline Transport Pilots are authorized to act as pilot-in-command of an aircraft in air carrier service.

Ground School

We offer comprehensive, one on one or group instruction for any and all licenses to whatever extent our student may require and scheduled at their convenience.
